Assessment week is here! Emails went out last Friday to all band students and parents with details regarding the schedules for both assessment performances this weekend. Please use this post as another source of information as we head into the weekend!
Friday, March 3rd, 2023
Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Percussion Ensemble
- 4:00 pm – Students should report to the band room at FPHS to begin gathering equipment and do final checks that they have everything they need.
- Students are welcome to stay at FPHS after school if they will not be able to make it back by 4:00 pm.
- 4:30 pm – Bus arrives, attendance is taken, and the bus departs for Colgan High School.
- 4:45 pm – Bus arrives at Colgan High School, Mr. Ro checks the band in, and students unload equipment from the bus.
- After bus is unloaded, FPHS equipment will be taken to the staging area to wait for warm up.
- 6:00 pm – Warm up
- 6:20 pm – On deck
- 6:30 pm – Performance on stage at Colgan High School
- Once performance is complete, the band will go to the sightreading room.
- 7:30 pm – Rating is received, students load bus, and return to FPHS.
- 7:45 pm – Bus returns to FPHS, students unload equipment, and are dismissed.
Saturday, March 4th, 2023
Wind Ensemble, and students playing up from other classes.
- 11:00 am – Students should report to the band room at FPHS to begin gathering equipment and do final checks that they have everything they need.
- 11:30 am – Bus arrives, attendance is taken, and the bus departs for Colgan High School
- 11:45 am – Bus arrives at Colgan High School, Mr. Ro checks the band in, and students unload equipment from the bus.

- 12:20 pm – Warm up
- 12:50 pm – On deck
- 1:00 pm – Performance on stage at Colgan High School

- 2:15 pm – Bus returns to FPHS, students unload equipment, and are dismissed.
PARENTS: If you would like to pick your student up directly from Colgan following our performance, please email Mr. Ro at least one day ahead of your student’s assessment performance.
Any who wish to attend Concert Assessment as members of the audience are welcome to (no cost), and any who are interested in chaperoning during the trip, should reach out to Mr. Ro as well.
