Come and join the Marching Bruin Band for a night of music and fun! 8th Grade Night will give middle school students the opportunity to perform with the marching band, connect with high school students, and be involved in the game-day atmosphere by performing with the band in the stands.
8th Grade students will begin arriving at FPHS at 4:15 PM to rehearse music for the football game. The music can be found HERE.
Itinerary for 8th Grade Night:
4:15 PM – Students arrive and check in at FPHS for quick rehearsal
4:30 PM – Rehearsal Begins
5:15 PM – Dinner provided by the Bruin Band Boosters
5:45 PM – Marching Bruin Band students start getting dressed into uniform
6:20 PM – Report to Driver’s Ed Lot
6:40 PM – March into the stadium, listen to MBB perform the National Anthem, and perform the Fight Song on the track with the Marching Bruin Band as the football team runs out
7:00 PM – Game start, perform in the stands with the MBB using the music provided above
8:30 PM* – Halftime! Watch the MBB perform their 2023 show entitled “Nightmares and Daydreams”
8:45 PM* – Students are dismissed to parents. You have the option of staying for the rest of the football game or going home. All students will have to meet their parents outside of the band room (door 3) before being let back into the game.
*These times are approximate, as our performance time depends on how quickly the time clock runs down during the first half of the game.
