As we head into spring break, please check out these updates from the Bruin Band!
First, I would like to offer a huge congratulations to all band students for successful performances at this year’s VBODA Concert Assessment. Both performing ensembles earned ratings of Excellent, and I am very proud of their performances.
Second, all of us here at Forest Park would like to wish the best of luck to the Forest Park Winter Guard as they head to Hampton tomorrow for the Atlantic Indoor Association North Circuit Championships. We would also like to wish the Woodbridge Indoor Drumline good luck in their performance at Championships on Sunday.
We are very excited to partner with Savers Thrift Stores once again to hold a Fundrive Fundraiser! If you find yourself doing any spring cleaning while we are on break, we will be glad to take your household items that you no longer have use for. Check the photos above, or on our Instagram and Facebook for instructions on what you can donate, how it should be packed, and where/when to bring it!
Tiny Tots is coming soon! Performances of our annual children’s concert will be on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 25th and 26th. Both days will feature performances at 10:30 am and the 26th will feature an evening instrument petting zoo at 5:00 pm, with a 6:30 pm showtime. Students will have a variety of opportunities to be a part of the performances either playing in the concert, dressing up in different character costumes, and other volunteer opportunities.
