We are in the final stretch of the year! Please check the information below for details regarding the spring concert, the start of marching band, and our last performance at graduation.
Spring Concert:
- Date – May 30, 2023
- Time – 5:30 Dress Rehearsal mandatory for all band students
- Concert begins at 7:00
- Ice cream social and final Bruin Band Booster meeting of the year to follow immediately after concert.
Marching Band:
- An information/interest meeting for all new marchers and their parents will be held on Thursday, May 18 at 7:30 in the band room.
- At this meeting, students and parents who will be new to the Marching Bruin Band will receive all the information they will need to know prior to the start of preseason rehearsals.
- Preseason rehearsals begin on May 23 and will be every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00-8:00 until the end of school.
- Students interested in joining the leadership team for the Marching Bruin Band should attend Leadership week next week, May 8-12 after school from 2:30-4:00.
Graduation:
Students currently in Wind Ensemble, and students who will be in Wind Ensemble next year (you will have Advanced Band on your schedule) are expected to perform at Forest Park’s graduation ceremony. Forest Park’s graduation is scheduled for Sunday, June 4 at 7:00 pm. Stay tuned for more information regarding graduation band as we draw closer to the date of the event.
