Great job at the our first concert last Wednesday, and at the away game last Friday! We have one more away game this Friday at Hylton and our fall marching band season will come to an end. With the end of the marching band season, we will officially begin the indoor season with our interest meetings for the Winter Guard and new Indoor Drumline. See below for details related to the away game at Hylton, the Marching Bruin Band Banquet, and the interest/information meetings for our indoor ensembles.
Away Game Schedule:
Friday, November 3, 2023
- 6:00 – Report to band room to collect instruments/equipment needed for the game
- 6:30 – Buses depart for Colgan High School
- 7:00 – Game starts
- 8:00* – Halftime – We will go to watch the Colgan Band’s halftime show
- 9:00* – Game ends, load buses, and depart for FPHS
- 9:30* – Return to FPHS, students unload buses, clean band room, and are dismissed
*Times are approximate and depend on how quickly the game clock runs out.
WHAT TO WEAR:
- Band T-Shirt
- Band Jacket (Please bring $20 to purchase your jacket if you have not already done so)
- Blue Jeans (preferably without rips/tears/holes)
- If you want to bring extra clothing for layers (in case it gets cold), please try to make it Forest Park spirit wear, or at least Forest Park colors.
- NO CROCS – WEAR REAL SHOES
Indoor Ensemble Meetings
We will be hosting interest/information meetings for all students and families who wish to learn more about joining the Forest Park Winter Guard and Indoor Drumline.

Marching Bruin Band Banquet
Please join us on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 for our end-of-season band banquet! We will wrap up the season, pass out any band awards, and share a wonderful meal catered by Armetta’s!
