President – Charlie Bartlett

Charlie Bartlett has been a member of the FPHS BBB since 2005.  He has volunteered on the Pit Crew for 4 years, chaperoned two trips as well as serving as the treasurer for the last two years.  Charlie has two daughters; Elizabeth is a sophomore and plays flute/piccolo, while Anna is a FPHS and America Music Abroad band alumnus.  Charlie retired from the US Air Force in 2008 and is currently employed with the Scitor Corporation supporting the Department of Defense.

 

 

 

Executive Vice President – Bill Reid

Bill Reid rejoins the Band Boosters this year as his daughter Anna, trumpet, enters FPHS as a freshman.  Until his son, Mike, also trumpet, graduated in June 2008, Bill volunteered with the Pit Crew, Tag Day and other marching band activities.  Bill presently works for the court system of the Commonwealth of Virginia and retired in 2008 after a 28 year career as a federal law enforcement officer.

Secretary – Jean Westcott

Jean Westcott has been a member of the BBB since Fall of 2006.  She has volunteered at various events including Pit Crew and Band Camp and as Public Affairs coordinator for the 2008-2009 year.  She is the mom of Ian (trombone) and Megan (saxophone) who will join the band this year.  Jean works in publishing and along with her husband Sean had their own book published this year.

 

Treasurer – Gordie Clark

Gordie Clark has been a member of the FPHS BBB since 2003; and has volunteered in various capacities from Pit Crew to Water & Seat Cover Crew over the past 6 years.  Gordie has two daughters in the band this year, Shiona is a sophomore clarinet player and Aileen is a sophomore in the Color Guard.  His oldest daughter, Keighley, and son, Blair, are both Forest Park Band Alumni.  Gordie retired from the US Navy in 2009.

Jazz Band Liaison – Claudia Stein

Claudia has been a member of the FPHS BBB since 2007 and has been a Pit Crew member for 2 years.  Claudia’s daughter, Katie, is a Junior and plays oboe, performs with the Color Guard, and has played piano with the Spriggs Road Jazz Band.  Her son, Matt, plays trumpet in the SR Jazz Band and is eagerly awaiting his time with FPHS Marching Bruins.  Claudia is a Budget Analyst for the NY/VA/Puerto Rico District Superintendent’s Office at Quantico Schools and is a 23 year Navy Wife.

 

New Member Coordinator – Sue Reid

Sue’s daughter, Anna, is a freshman trumpet player. Sue was an active volunteer for four years with the FPHS BBB during her son Mike’s tenure as a trumpet player with the class of ’08.  She spent her “off year” volunteering with the Benton Middle School band program and is looking forward to helping new parents and students navigate the exciting world of FPHS Bruin Marching Band.

 

 

Uniform Mom – Sharon Henkel

Sharon Henkel has been a member of the FPHS BBB since 2006.  She has volunteered on the Pit Crew, Seat Covers & Water, Band Awards Night, 8th-grade Night, Senior Night, Uniforms, Plumes, Tag Day ($1000 car for 2 years!!), and chaperoned on two trips.  She is very excited to be taking over as "Uniform Mom".  Sharon's son, Andrew, is a senior sousaphone player and the Tuba Section Leader for marching band.

 

Volunteer Coordinator – Sandi Clark

Sandi Clark has been a member of the FPHS BBB since 2003!  She has volunteered in the uniform room and helped with seatcovers and water for 6 years and has been the volunteer coordinator for the marching band for the last two years.  Sandi has twin daughters who are sophomores in the band.  Shiona plays the clarinet and Aileen is a member of the color guard.  Sandi has happily been a stay at home Mom, is the Newcomer Ministry Coordinator of her church and runs her own small business.
